Power Lines, Inc. was formed in October 1991 by Ray Estep as a manufacturers representative agency for general industrial products. Before starting the company, Ray Estep worked for Motion Industries in various sales and management positions, including Fluid Power Specialist, Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and Corporate Fluid Power Product Manager.

In January 2021, Greg Jackson bought into PLI as a partner. Greg’s experience in industrial sales began as part of the Motion Industries sales trainee program following his graduation from the University of North Carolina. He worked for the MI Raleigh, NC branch for seven years eventually moving into an outside sales position as an Account Representative. After several years in pharmaceutical sales, Greg returned to work at Motion Industries as a Corporate Account Sales Manager, leaving that position after eight years in August, 2020.
